Belle and Dusty are what I call grey puppies. They were littermates to
Shadow. Belle was a diluted red and Dusty was a diluted black & tan. They were beautiful lavender and beige at birth
but turned really ugly as they matured. She had light brown eyes and he had green eyes. Both glowed red (like vampires!)
in the sun. It certainly was not a great recessive to get! Nobody could figure out where it came from. I had 2 more
in another litter breeding a
General daughter to a
General grandson but I had them euthanized since they are not healthy pups and I had learned from my previous experience that long
term survival was iffy and extremely expensive. They appear to have a very weak immune system. Belle lived to a ripe
old age but was lucky her owner was a millionaire!
