Kaisa was my first 'show' dachshund and the dam of my first Champion, Vonbernhart's Solitaire. Born in July, 1975, Kaisa was tightly linebred on the old Wunderbar Kennel. She was I believe the last of that bloodline, bred by Ms Paula Kellett and owned by Bernard Robert. Sadly, most truly Canadian bloodlines ended at a time when Canadian breeders imported dachshunds from the US in an effort to improve the quality of our own dachshunds. In many ways they were successful but ....still, it was the end of an era.
